Typecast Engineering Limited specialises in manufacturing bespoke aluminium/cast iron brakedrums, incorporating our unique mechanically sealed modified grade 17 cast iron liners, for all vintage and classic, road and race cars. Since Typecast Engineering Limited was established in 1998, we have manufactured brakedrums for some of the most prestigious and unique automobiles in the world. From Alfas to Vauxhalls, our extensive archive of drawings covers many hundreds of models and variants and we pride ourselves on having our brakedrums on some of the fastest automobiles in their class winning race after race.

If you wish to place an order, we usually require a confirmation letter clearly stating your requirements and the appropriate contact details for yourself. We also require a 25% deposit to confirm your order. If we require any further information regarding your order, such as a sample, drawings or pictures etc, we will contact you on the details as requested above.

All products will be despatched via courier immediately upon receipt of payment (unless you have organised a personal collection with an employee of Typecast Ltd, in which case your payment must be cleared before your proposed arrival). Once your payment has cleared, your goods will be despatched as a next day delivery unless a timed delivery has been specifically requested by yourself.

Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable on all Typecast Ltd products at the current standard rate of 17.5% to all EC countries. If you are from an EC country outside of the UK and you have a valid VAT number that will be applicable to your order, your invoice will be rated at 0% VAT. Please ensure that your VAT number is clearly stated on your confirmation letter when placing your order. If you are unsure as to what category your country falls into, please contact your countries customs and excise department or please do not hesitate to contact us on admin@brakedrum.co.uk.

If in the unlikely event that you have an issue with your purchase please contact us and we will gladly assist you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If a solution cannot be reached to resolve your issue or your product is faulty due to casting or manufacturing defects, we will replace your products as quickly and as hassle free as possible.

We understand that each and every customer has their own individual needs and requirements and we endeavour to make your purchase as smooth and hassle free as possible. Every Typecast Ltd product is inspected and has multiple quality control checks before it is prepared for despatch. Once your payment has been submitted, no information which has been supplied to Typecast Ltd is retained or disclosed to any other third party. Card payments are submitted through a secure card processing terminal.

If for any reason you decide to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible. Your deposit will only be refunded in full if we are informed within 5 working days.
